The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District is proposing to place dredged material (solids removed from the bed of any surface water) from Pulaski
Park of the Kinnickinnic River, which is located between the Chicago Northwestern / Union
Pacific Co. railroad bridge, south of West Cleveland Avenue and South 16th Street within a
portion of Milwaukee County’s Pulaski Park onto property owned by R&R Excavating & Bulldozing Site (Rowe Quarry), County Highway I, Town of Cedarburg, Ozaukee County. MMSD is planning to remove 63,000 cubic yards of native soil, sediment, and non-native soil along the banks of the Kinnickinnic River. The meeting will begin with a presentation
outlining the proposal. Staff with the Department of Natural Resources will be on hand to answer questions and take comments. The DNR is required under s. 289.54(2), Wis. Stats. to hold a public meeting before it can approve a request to dispose of dredged materials.
